From a distance this piece is realistic in nature, but upon closer examination it reveals a rhythmic array of colors and textures.  The combinations of extremes in light and dark with the decorative movement in the lower half of the painting create a poetic and delightful composition to explore. In a sense it moves from order in the light to abstraction in the darkness.  Obviously a statement that mirrors both human and spiritual truth.
